The mission of the Vestavia Hills Police Foundation is:
To promote a collaborative relationship between the police and the community, to support the department with community outreach, personnel development, recognition, and benevolence.
To support police personnel and their families and to promote police community relations.
To encourage police community partnerships and to support the department’s police personnel and their families through, training, officer recognition, and benevolence.
To provide support to the police officers, support personnel and their families, including, training, equipment and any other resources needed to accomplish the mission.
To promote public safety by providing resources and support to enhance the Vestavia Hills Police Department in its effectiveness to be a safe city.
To improve the quality of life for the community by providing equipment, training, technology, and programs for the department and the public it serves.
To encourage positive police community relations and to provide support to its employees and their families through, training, recognition, community outreach and benevolence.
Understanding that in order to keep a city safe its police department must have a positive working relationship with the citizenry, the mission of the Vestavia Hills Police Foundation is to support initiatives that will promote a collaborative relationship between the police and the community and to provide support to its employees and their families.

The Vestavia Hills Police foundation is dedicated to supporting the Vestavia Hills Police Department, its officers, their families and the City of Vestavia Hills. We do this through benevolence, community outreach and education and development. A major goal of the foundation is to erect a memorial appropriately commemorating the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers.
The role of law enforcement at its core has never changed, “To Protect and Serve”, however the way in which they do their job is constantly evolving. Every day that they come to work they potentially put their lives at risk on the behalf of the citizens they serve. The “Thin Blue Line” will be a constant reminder to those that protect us that they have support from the community and its citizens to say “We have your back”.

All contributions to the Vestavia Hills Police Foundation are income tax deductible and are made with the understanding that the Vestavia Hills Police Foundation has complete discretion and control of the use of all donatedfunds.
